Nearly half of all Brits want overseas homeIt seems that more and more Britons are considering buying bricks and mortar overseas. According to research released by the Bank of Scotland recently, 42 per cent of Brits have considered moving abroad or buying an overseas property. Australia is revealed as the most popular place to emigrate, with one in ten saying it would be their top choice of a place to live. In Europe, France is the most favoured by the over 45s, with over three quarters of those surveyed choosing our Gallic neighbour as the top place to retire. However, the country isn't quite so popular with younger Britons. Only three per cent of the under 25's named France as the number one place they would like to live. |
